- previous experience in food service preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- strong communication skills
- basic math proficiency
- ability to operate point-of-sale system
- exceptional grooming and presentation
Job Qualifications
- Be able to work standing for up to 6 hours
- communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of guests
- have exceptional grooming habits
- possess basic math skills
- ability to operate cash register or point-of-sale system
Job Duties
- Welcome guests as they enter
- greet guests upon arriving at the table and make them feel comfortable
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make genuine meal recommendations
- answer guest questions about food, beverages, and services
- take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system promptly
- prepare coffee and tea when line assistant is unavailable
- prepare toast when toast assistant is unavailable
- deliver food and beverages timely with assistance when necessary
- perform side work at start and end of shifts
- maintain clean service areas including tables, seats, floors, and windows
- monitor guests’ dining experience and respond promptly to requests
- prepare final bill, process payments, and present checks
- assist co-workers as needed
- pre-bus tables and help bus person with clearing and cleaning
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
