Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food and beverage service is an advantage
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- excellent customer service skills
- physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays
- familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
- have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations guests will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services
- take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages to guests promptly
- perform side work at the start and end of each shift
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- prepare the final bill, accept payment, and process credit card charges
- assist fellow servers and bartenders as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
