Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food and beverage service is an advantage
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • excellent customer service skills
  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays
  • familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
  • have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
  • be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
  • inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • make recommendations guests will enjoy
  • answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services
  • take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
  • deliver food and beverages to guests promptly
  • perform side work at the start and end of each shift
  • maintain clean service areas
  • monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • prepare the final bill, accept payment, and process credit card charges
  • assist fellow servers and bartenders as needed
  • thank guests and invite them to return
  • fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
