Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited sanitation course and maintain certification
- Completion or willingness to complete Texas Association of School Nutrition certification Level 2 preferred
- Ability to manage personnel and maintain confidentiality
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency and money handling skills
- Ability to teach and train staff
- Completion of Manager-In-Training course preferred
- Minimum one year of school food service experience preferred
Job Qualifications

- Preferred completion of Mesquite Food and Nutrition Services Manager-In-Training course
- Preferred one year of school food service experience
Job Duties
- Provide supervision, training, and management for campus food service operation
- Ensure appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served
- Follow all policies and regulations set by TDA, USDA, and local health department
- Plan, order, and manage food and supplies using current software systems
- Maintain work, cleaning schedules, production, and financial records
- Handle money with integrity and ensure accurate deposits
- Train and evaluate Nutrition Specialists and substitutes
- Conduct daily operational and production management
- Maintain safe and hazard-free kitchen and cafeteria environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality guidelines
- Maintain food cost within guidelines
- Supervise employees to promote teamwork and positive morale
- Perform HACCP checklist twice per year
- Manage equipment maintenance logs and recommend replacements
- Follow attendance and timekeeping policies
- Follow nutrition standards as directed by dietitians
- Perform other duties as assigned
