Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- able to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence
- able to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills
- basic mathematical skills in American money and measurement units
- common sense reasoning ability
- meet state minimum requirements to operate baler and trash compactor
- valid driver's license or state ID card
- willingness to complete Yoke's training programs
- physical capability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and other physical demands
- adherence to safety protocols and reporting accidents promptly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- writes simple correspondence
- communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors, and associates
- performs mathematical calculations using American money, weight, and volume measurements
- applies common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems in standardized situations
- meets state minimum requirements to operate baler and trash compactor
- valid driver's license or state ID card
- completion of Yoke's provided training programs such as active shooter, grocery skills training levels one through three, food handler's safety, HIPAA, late night retail safety, safety orientation, and guest service training
- ability to perform physical tasks as described
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and prepared to provide excellent service
- promoting sales and exceptional service through active guest engagement, product recommendations, and discussing current promotions
- performing tasks such as restocking displays, merchandising, receiving and pricing products, and maintaining clean displays and aisles
- operating equipment including com-line, phone, baler, box cutter, FM unit, pallet jack, six wheelers, symbol unit, cash register, and trash compactor safely and correctly
- mentoring new associates and fostering a positive learning environment
- communicating and accurately completing guests' special order requests
- ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and company policies regarding workplace safety, food handling, and guest services
- actively participating in the department’s accident reduction plan by maintaining clean floors, recognizing safety features, and adhering to emergency protocols
