Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma or GED with relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in customer service or related field
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents and technical materials
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • High interpersonal skills for handling sensitive information
  • Commitment to customer service excellence
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to work varied shifts including early mornings and late evenings
  • Willingness to work in cold environments and around operating machinery
  • Effective leadership and team management capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years experience in customer service, or any appropriate combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass and volume
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation
  • Computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper customer service and develop relationships with large customers
  • Supervise and work alongside Assistant Floor Manager, Floor Supervisors and Stockers to assure shelves are stocked and merchandise is rotated
  • Develop schedules, monitor performance and recommend proper discipline as appropriate
  • Train employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures
  • Interview candidates and recommend hires
  • Ensure employees perform inspections to meet HACCP regulations and conduct periodic HACCP audits
  • Review inventory for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
  • Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects recent pricing and market conditions
  • Supervise receiving of products and ensure proper paperwork completion
  • Maintain accurate computer inventory levels through regular physical inventories and adjustments
  • Supervise product ordering from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and minimal spoilage
  • Coordinate proper tagging of pallets in storage racks
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area including scrubbing and cleaning under pallets
  • Ensure excess inventory is properly stored in overhead racks or refrigeration
  • Remove trash from floor and handle properly
  • Communicate low stock or out of stock information to Inventory Controller
  • Ensure all signage and flyers' prices are accurate
  • Coordinate proper merchandising of aisles and impulse areas
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Conduct weekly self-audits on the perishable department
  • Work varied schedules including before store opening and closing duties
