Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in floor care or janitorial services preferred
- ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
- knowledge of safety protocols and PPE usage
- ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting

- basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish hard floors
- vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets using professional cleaning equipment
- buff and wax floors to maintain shine and protect surfaces
- remove stains, gum, and other debris using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
- operate floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, extractors, burnishers, and vacuums
- perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cleaning equipment
- follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE
- handle cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets and manufacturer instructions
- ensure all tasks meet OSHA and company safety standards
- conduct regular inspections of floor surfaces to identify areas needing attention
- report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, staff, and visitors
- address concerns or special requests promptly and courteously
- effectively communicate scheduling needs to supervisors
- follow attendance policies
- ensure cleaning tasks meet quality expectations
- verify hours worked for payroll accuracy
- complete all required training
- cooperate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily goals
