Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
  • Prior cash handling or teller experience preferred
  • Ability to operate PC equipment and teller terminals accurately and efficiently
  • Strong basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Dependability in job duties and attendance
  • Ability to work in a team environment with team members, management, and members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to navigate the internet
  • Commitment to comply with federal regulations
  • Active participation in sales and service training

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent basic math skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to navigate the internet and complete online forms
  • Familiarity with emerging computer technology such as mobile devices, imaging technology, and social media
  • Knowledge of home banking and bill paying services
  • Active participation and successful completion of Sales and Service training

Job Duties

  • Identify members properly according to credit union policies and procedures
  • Accept and verify deposits and payments, perform withdrawals or loan advances within assigned limits
  • Maintain control of cash by double counting all cash received and disbursed
  • Resolve members' concerns, complaints, discrepancies, and problems using available resources and CRM
  • Utilize sales and service training to identify potential member service needs and refer or sell credit union products and services
  • Maintain high productivity by meeting or exceeding established goals
  • Perform ATM frontline maintenance and balance ATMs according to procedures
  • Process night depository and ATM deposits as directed
  • Uphold member information confidentiality
  • Accurately balance cash drawer and cash recyclers daily
  • Maintain proficiency in all necessary computer programs
  • Complete all training for the teller position with acceptable grades
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations including BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, and Red Flag Program
  • Assist in maintaining branch appearance and clean workspace
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
