Job Requirements
- Previous custodial experience strongly preferred
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities in and around the Ann Arbor area during scheduled shift with valid driver’s license
- Superior attendance and reliability
- Must be able to lift 20-40lbs

- Ability to work independently and adapt to different cleaning environments
- Strong communication skills for effective reporting and teamwork
- Ability to learn and follow detailed protocols quickly
- Valid driver’s license for travel to various buildings
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift 20-40lbs
- Reliability and superior attendance
Job Duties
- Filling in for absent cleaners at different buildings or departments
- Flexibility in nightly schedule to cover when needed in different buildings and areas in and around Ann Arbor
- Learning buildings scheduled to clean or cover quickly and performing all standard tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing restrooms/kitchens
- Detailed cleaning of facilities, including non-daily tasks, deep cleaning, and event setup/cleanup
- Working with supervisors on coaching/assisting current employees and training new employees
- Helping with supply inventory and ordering for buildings
- Clear communication with all staff including any issues in building (cleaning or repairs) reported to supervisor and office staff
