Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in management and supervisory roles is required
- High school diploma preferred but not required as equivalent education and experience considered
- Valid driver’s license required
- Current auto insurance required
- Access to a functioning automobile required
- Ability to read, speak, write, and comprehend English
- Strong math skills required to handle forecasts, reports, and financial calculations
- General computer proficiency and knowledge of front office operations required
- Knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and up selling required
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Must be flexible to work long hours and handle stressful situations
- Ability to make sound judgments in operational and guest service matters
- Ability to travel up to 90 percent of the time with possible overnight stays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in management and supervisory roles
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
- Possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a functioning automobile
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language
- Ability to interpret information from various reports and hotel documents
- Strong mathematical skills for forecasts and reports
- Proficient computer skills and thorough knowledge of front office/front desk management
- Knowledgeable in service standards, guest relations, and up selling techniques
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and stressful situations
- Strong problem solving and judgment skills
- Salesmanship and understanding of the local competitive landscape
Job Duties
- Operates properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed
- Follows General Manager daily flow when acting as a General Manager
- Develop expertise on computer operating system
- Assists in recruitment of General Managers and other property staff
- Training, development and support of property staff
- Drive sales through sales calls and other local marketing at the direction of the Regional Operations Manager
- Ensure and provide excellent guest service
- Identify and manage repair and maintenance issues
- Identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspection issues
- Notify Regional Operations Manager immediately of any safety, security and/or violations of policy
- Notify Regional Operations Manager of any guest concerns
- Monitor competitors in markets as directed by the Regional Operations Manager
- Helps meet budgets through effective cost and inventory control
- Helps properties maximize financial performance
- Travel and/or overnight stay will be required
