- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food and Nutrition service-related personnel

Job Duties
- Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning
- Participate in on-going state-approved training and educational initiatives relating to Food and Nutrition Services
- Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service, using good judgment and professionalism
- Operate point of sale according to federal guidelines when assigned
- Adhere to food safety rules, departmental procedures and HACCP, ensuring a safe work environment
- Perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, clean-up, and check-in orders
- Assist with ordering, proper storage and inventories for all supplies and food items received
- Follow written recipes and instructions for food preparation and record time, amounts, leftovers, and temperature on production worksheets
- Operate food service equipment safely
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing and disposing of garbage and waste
- Ensure sanitation practices are adhered to including personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Ensure food production operations comply with federal and state standards related to food preparation, servicing, and sanitation
- Perform cleaning of food service equipment and facilities as required
- Drive vans and refrigerated/freezer trucks to satellite sites for food delivery, gas, and cleaning tasks
- Perform and promote compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to job responsibilities
- Review current developments and technical information related to job responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures
- Follow federal and state laws and School Board policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or designee
