Job Requirements

  • Must have 3-5 years of culinary management experience
  • Demonstrated institutional, hotel, or restaurant culinary skills
  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to control costs and manage budgets
  • Ability to travel extensively within the district
  • Flexible to work varying hours depending on unit operations
  • Ability to work onsite in Massachusetts
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and client contractual agreements

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated institutional, hotel, or restaurant culinary skills including large quantity production
  • 3-5 years of culinary management experience
  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of controlling costs and managing annual budgets
  • Bachelor’s degree in institutional management, nutrition, dietetics, or hotel and restaurant management is preferred
  • Certification by a recognized culinary institution or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable

Job Duties

  • Directs/performs daily function of unit operations to ensure accounts are on point
  • Oversees/performs the preparation, portioning, garnishing, presentation and safe storage of food
  • Ensures that kitchen, equipment, storage facilities and dining room meet standards and cleaning lists are followed
  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance
  • Ensures compliance with safety and loss prevention programs
  • Maintains client relationships and satisfaction to ensure account retention
  • Communicates with staff and management to maintain continuity and provide solutions
