Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Coursework equivalent to Early Childhood Education major
- Experience teaching preschool or infant/toddler children preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Certification in CLASS or myTeachstone preferred
- Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum
- Experience with ASQ, PITC, CSEFEL, Pyramid Model, ITERS, and Toddler CLASS preferred
- Ability to use computer software programs and web-based systems
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework
- Experience teaching preschool and/or infant/toddler children preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Certification as CLASS reliable observer or myTeachstone trainer preferred
- Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum and inter-rater reliability
- Familiarity with ASQ screening, PITC, CSEFEL, Pyramid Model, ITERS, and Toddler CLASS preferred
- Experience working with culturally diverse and low-income families preferred
- Basic computer and keyboard skills with software proficiency
Job Duties
- Support staff development in early childhood education programs
- Provide high quality developmentally appropriate care and education for children aged 0-5
- Work as a site-based floater teacher in assigned classrooms
- Collaborate with center-based and home-based interdisciplinary teams
- Follow all applicable state and federal regulations and Head Start standards
- Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times
- Maintain health and safety regulations in indoor, outdoor, and school bus environments
