Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
  • At least 1500 hours helicopter time
  • 1000 hours as helicopter pilot in command
  • 500 hours turbine time
  • 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
  • Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate
  • Rotorcraft-helicopter instrument rating
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Must meet weight limit of 230 pounds dressed in flight suit and boots

Job Qualifications

  • 2000 hours total flight time
  • 1500 hours helicopter time
  • 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
  • 500 hours turbine time
  • 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
  • Previous HEMS experience or equivalent preferred
  • Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate
  • Rotorcraft-helicopter instrument rating
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Exhibits professionalism and ethics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions
  • 230 pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots

Job Duties

  • Operate the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner with compliance to the rotorcraft flight manual
  • Monitor forecast changes and current weather situations
  • Conduct preflight inspections prior to shifts and flights
  • Note discrepancies in the engineering log and notify maintenance
  • Report any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to the Operations Center
  • Ensure the aircraft remains clean and transport ready
  • Submit all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely manner
