Job Requirements
- None to 1 year related culinary or food service experience
- must be 18+ years old
- food sanitation safety certification within 90 days or certified food protection manager certification (Minnesota locations require state-issued certification within 90 days)

- vocational school or technical training or associate degree in food service preferred
- working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications preferred
Job Duties
- Maintains float schedule and supports on-site dining staff
- fills in for chef vacancies at various Ebenezer locations
- conducts regular site kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health and sanitation
- mentors chefs
- provides training to chefs
- assists with special events
- assists with planning menus
- provides technical support related to Point, Click, Care
- assists with interviews for site staff
- assists with health inspections
- properly cook foods to specified temperatures
- ensure products meet temperature and quality standards
- follow standardized recipes and portion controls
- weigh and measure ingredients per standardized recipes
- assemble food within specified time frames
- provide meal service in a timely manner
- prepare bakery items per standardized recipes
- accurately complete daily preparation tasks
- properly prepare texturized diets using IDDSI standards
- handle and prepare food in a safe manner
- document food temperatures
- follow hygiene and safety procedures
- cover and label food with content and date
- sanitize equipment and work area after use
- supervise kitchen staff
- responsible for daily operations in absence of a supervisor
- responsible for resident/guest customer service in absence of supervisor
- communicate feedback regarding meal quality
