Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, aerospace, or related field
  • Five years of progressively responsible flight instruction experience
  • At least two years of management experience in flight training
  • Flight experience meeting 14 CFR §141.35(b)-(d) requirements for Chief Instructor
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (ASEL, AMEL, Instrument-Airplane)
  • FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (ASE, AME, Instrument-Airplane)
  • Current 2nd Class FAA Medical Certificate

Job Duties

  • Supervise assistant flight training managers and staff flight instructors in course administration
  • Serve as liaison to FAA and TSA regarding flight training operations
  • Perform stage checks, end-of-course checks, flight instructor upgrades, and ground training
  • Develop, manage, and update flight training course outlines
  • Teach Flight Instructor Fundamentals course as assigned
  • Coordinate with the Director of Aerospace - Airport Operations to assess and forecast program needs
  • Perform administrative tasks related to flight training operations
