Job Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Possess a current Commercial Pilot Certificate or appropriate military rating
  • Have valid FAA first or second-class medical certificate
  • Have minimum flight experience including 1750 total hours and 1150 as pilot in command
  • Have 75 hours night flying
  • Have 500 hours in heavy multi-engine airplane or helicopter
  • Have flown 100 hours in last 12 months
  • Submit flight logs and medical certificates during application
  • Have one year of specialized flight test experience
  • Meet DoD security and employment guidelines
  • Provide official military documents if claiming military flight experience

Job Qualifications

  • Current Commercial Pilot Certificate or appropriate military rating
  • FAA Flight Instructor Certificate or military equivalent if applying for instructor positions
  • Minimum of 1750 total flight hours including 1150 hours pilot in command and 75 night flying hours
  • At least 500 hours in heavy multi-engine airplane or helicopter
  • 100 hours flying in last 12 months
  • One year of specialized flight test experience relevant to position

  • US citizenship
  • Ability to submit required documentation including flight logs and certificates
  • Experience in flight test operations involving complex aircraft systems and data analysis
  • Successful completion of medical and regulatory compliance checks

Job Duties

  • Conduct aircraft systems tests including sophisticated weapons systems and electro-optical sensors
  • Gather quantitative and qualitative flight test data to evaluate aircraft performance and stability
  • Serve as a Rotary or Fixed Wing Flight Test Pilot for aviation system acquisition programs
  • Ensure compliance with all flight safety and regulatory requirements including maintaining valid FAA certifications and medical certificates
  • Prepare detailed test flight reports and maintain accurate records of flight hours and operational data
  • Collaborate with engineering and program teams to analyze test results and recommend improvements
  • Participate in continuous training and qualifications to maintain proficiency with current aviation technologies
