Job Requirements

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Proven experience operating drones in real-world environments
  • Strong situational awareness and commitment to safe flight practices
  • Ability to follow structured procedures and adapt to changing field conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the US and abroad
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Quarterly travel to headquarters in San Mateo, CA for team meetings
  • Background in aviation or robotics preferred
  • Experience with UAV flight testing or data capture preferred
  • Technical proficiency with sensors and troubleshooting preferred

  • Familiarity with Skydio platforms or other advanced autonomous drone systems preferred
  • Technical proficiency with computers, sensors, and troubleshooting preferred

Job Duties

  • Safely operate drones in diverse environments including urban, rural, industrial, and forested areas
  • Execute structured flight test plans incorporating scripted and exploratory flight scenarios
  • Collect, label, and manage high volumes of sensor, imagery, and telemetry data
  • Provide clear and detailed feedback on test results, anomalies, and environmental factors
  • Collaborate with engineering and autonomy teams to align on data needs and test objectives
  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure flight readiness
  • Travel extensively to conduct data collection at various sites, test ranges, and field environments
