- Qualify as at least an Assistant Professor or higher in the Moody Aviation Faculty Ranking
- Bachelor’s degree
- Commercial Pilot - Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL)
- Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII)
- Strong instructional experience
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
- Strong communication, public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Job Duties
- Model a high level of aviation professionalism, integrity and servanthood to staff and students
- Model and abide by the 14 Code of Federal Regulations and Moody Operations Manual
- Define, maintain and communicate training standards and completion objectives
- Supervise, standardize and mentor Flight Instructors and Flight Students each semester
- Oversee dispatch, flight scheduling operations and group briefings
- Schedule routine maintenance and inspections for aircraft fleet
- Develop, implement, review and update training curriculum and course materials
- Assist Chief Flight Instructor with FAA Part 61 and 141 curriculum and records
- Prepare flight department reports for the Director of Flight Operations
- Evaluate consult flights and recommend curriculum updates
- Assist with flight policy development, procedures and assessments
- Assist in hiring prospective flight department staff
- Function as flight and ground instructor
- Follow and reinforce standardized practices and procedures
- Provide professional ground and flight instruction
- Assure students are prepared as professional airmen and representatives of Christ
- Conduct pre and post flight briefings and critiques
- Perform monthly pilot proficiency flights
- Maintain accurate flight school documentation
- Ensure cleanliness and security of work areas and equipment
- Provide feedback on curriculum development
- Prepare and update course materials
- Coordinate flight scheduling with Flight Scheduler
- Lead departmental meetings and small group chapels
- Represent Moody Aviation at recruitment events
- Perform additional assigned responsibilities
