Job Requirements

  • Possess a current Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) license
  • Experience working with staff and students from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Must be able to work part-time
  • Ability to effectively communicate and instruct students
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
  • Willingness to uphold college policies including background checks and tobacco-free campus rules
  • Availability to support scheduled simulator sessions

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a current Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) license
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Possess a current Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) license (preferred)
  • At least 100 hours of pilot instruction as a CFI (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Provide simulator flight training for single-engine and multi-engine general aviation aircraft
  • Reinforce classroom material learned in private pilot, instrument, and commercial ground school courses through simulator lessons
  • Support student skill development by facilitating practical flight scenarios in simulators
  • Monitor and assess student progress during simulator sessions
  • Collaborate with faculty to align simulator training with course objectives
  • Maintain simulator equipment and ensure safe operation during training sessions
  • Assist with preparation of simulator lesson plans
