Job Requirements
- Membership in the South Dakota Air National Guard
- Compatible military assignment up to SMSgt
- Ability to wear military uniform and comply with military standards
- Experience in interpreting and applying relevant regulations
- Experience with computer and automation systems
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade
- Knowledge of transportation requirements for specific geographic areas
Job Qualifications
- Experience interpreting and applying regulations and procedures
- Experience in traffic policy and program administration
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
- Familiarity with performance characteristics and limitations of unit aircraft
- Understanding of USAF and federal flying regulations
- Skill in compliance monitoring with FAA and Air Force guidelines
- Ability to develop and oversee flight line safety programs
Job Duties
- Interpret and apply a variety of regulations and procedures related to flight services
- Administer and supervise technical and analytical work involving traffic policies and programs
- Oversee management of ANG owned, operated, or controlled ramps, taxiways, and airfield facilities
- Ensure compliance with FAA guidelines and Air Force/Air National Guard instructions on work projects
- Develop, administer, and monitor the flight line drivers program
- Make appropriate decisions concerning airfield operations based on USAF and federal flying regulations
- Address maintenance and safety issues related to airfield management
