Job Requirements
- National Guard membership is required
- Male applicants born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
- May be required to complete a trial period successfully

- May be required to complete a supervisory probationary period successfully
Job Qualifications
- National Guard membership is required
- Must have a compatible military assignment up to SMSgt
- Experience, education, or training interpreting and applying a variety of regulations and procedures
- Experience using computer and automation systems
- At least one year of specialized experience performing or supervising technical and analytical work related to traffic policies and programs
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic
- Knowledge of aircraft performance characteristics and USAF flying regulations
- Skill to review work projects for compliance with safety standards and FAA guidelines
- Ability to develop and monitor flight line drivers program
Job Duties
- Manage and oversee all airfield activities and facilities under air base jurisdiction
- Coordinate with applicable agencies, base flying activities, transient military and civilian aircrews and aircraft
- Maintain liaison with military, federal, and local agencies concerning airspace utilization and safety of flight
- Plan, develop, administer, and conduct Flight Service Section and Airfield Management/Base Operations functions
- Provide direct support to aircrews as part of the air traffic control system
- Supervise separate functions within the Operations Group including Operations Resource Management Systems, Administration, Training, and Personnel
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and federal regulations
