Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years related experience
- RT license appropriate to assigned location
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS certifications
- Current passport required
- Ability to work minimum 6 days per month including one weekend
- Ability to work varied shifts and cover fixed wing air ambulance call shifts
- Must live within one hour of Fort Lauderdale Executive airport
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Flexible and able to handle unexpected situations
- Must be a team player
- Previous flight experience preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in all basic therapeutic modalities of respiratory care
- Minimum of 3 years related experience
- Previous flight experience preferred
- RT license appropriate to assigned location
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS certifications
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support or Basic Trauma Life Support certification preferred
- Current passport
- Ability to work varied shifts including fixed wing air ambulance call shifts
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable with physical demands of the role
Job Duties
- Evaluate patient condition and deliver appropriate respiratory care during transport
- Coordinate with transport team and pilots to ensure patient safety and care continuity
- Prepare and secure medical equipment, including oxygen supplies, based on patient needs
- Review dispatch sheets and participate in pre-flight briefings to understand special instructions
- Respond promptly upon call and be available at specified location within 45 minutes
- Adapt to unexpected events and delays with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Assist in patient transfers and manage physical demands of transporting patients
