Job Requirements
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification within 2 years of hire
- Minimum of 4 years critical care and/or emergency department experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum of 4 years critical care and/or emergency department experience
- Previous flight nurse or pre-hospital experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
Job Duties
- Provide medical care and rapid transport to critically ill or injured patients in the air medical environment
- Learn and maintain competency in advanced flight nurse skills and department protocols
- Provide patient care based on department protocols and industry standards
- Collaborate with aviation staff including pilots and mechanics to promote safe practices
- Work closely with the Cox Air Care Medical Director for patient care guidance
- Manage patient care in high-risk helicopter environments
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills in a multi-tasking setting
