Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited paramedic or nursing program
- Ten years continuous experience in an EMS or critical care transport system
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration or currently pursuing such a degree
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse or Paramedic license
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Enrollment and obtainment of Certified Medical Transport Executive certification within 36 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited paramedic or nursing program
- Ten years continuous experience in an EMS or critical care transport system
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration or currently pursuing such a degree
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse or Paramedic license
- Certification in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and NRP
- Enrollment in Certified Medical Transport Executive certification within 36 months of hire
Job Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient transport and dispatch services
- Promotes AdventHealth's mission to provide high quality patient care while supporting education and research
- Coordinates with clinical delivery units, finance, utilization review, social services, admissions, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Manages all aspects of human resources for AirStar crewmembers including retention, hiring, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions
- Develops and evaluates patient transport program including billing, marketing, outreach education, continuing education, and quality improvement
- Maintains relationships with helicopter vendor pilots, mechanics, and supervisory personnel
- Represents AdventHealth in external projects involving referring physicians, local hospitals, community agencies, EMS, and regulatory agencies
