Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years recent experience in busy 911 or flight setting
  • Weight not to exceed 225 pounds including flight suit and boots
  • Registered EMT-P license for relevant states
  • Specialty certification within two years
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS or PHTLS certifications
  • Completion of advanced trauma course and NRP certification
  • NIMS training upon hire
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including 24/7 on-call
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships and collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years experience in a busy 911 system
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred
  • Registered EMT-P licensed in served states
  • National Certification as required
  • Specialty certification (FP-C or CCP-C) within two years of hire
  • Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications
  • Advanced provider ITLS or PHTLS certification
  • Completion of approved advanced trauma course
  • NRP certification prior to third-rider orientation
  • NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat upon hire
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Job Duties

  • Provide high quality pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment
  • Maintain thorough patient care documentation
  • Practice within state scope of practice and participate in ongoing education
  • Maintain documentation of certifications, licenses, and training
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Participate in patient and referring institution follow-up and outreach
  • Assist pilot with pre-mission tasks and comply with safety standards
