Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
  • Current EMT-P license or certification in the served states
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Trauma certification prior to flight status
  • Ability to maintain required licensure and continuing education
  • Ability to perform daily narcotic counts and base checks
  • Willingness to assist with pilot communications and safety tasks
  • Full-time availability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
  • Current EMT-P license or certification in the served states
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification prior to flight status
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred and required within 24 months
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • NREMT-P certification may be required

Job Duties

  • Complete and submit electronic patient care records within specified time frames
  • Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts
  • Provide advanced life support care from initial contact to handoff at medical facilities
  • Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical participation
  • Document required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
  • Utilize and maintain emergency equipment and supplies
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
  • Function as a medical flight team member
  • Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings
  • Assist pilots with radio, navigation, and visual observation tasks
  • Comply with safety standards for crew, patients, and equipment
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings
  • Fill open or vacant shifts as needed
