Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- current EMT-P license or certification in the states served
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and trauma certifications prior to flight status
- advanced certification FP-C required within 24 months of hire
- instructor certifications preferred
- NREMT-P certification may be required
- ability to complete electronic patient care documentation accurately and timely
- ability to perform daily base checks including narcotic count
- maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education and advanced procedures
- knowledge of emergency medical equipment and supplies
- compliance with safety standards
- willingness to fill open or vacant shifts as assigned
- ability to participate in ongoing clinical and laboratory skill maintenance
- commitment to positive professional relationships with EMS, hospitals, colleagues and the public
Job Qualifications
- Current EMT-P license or certification in the states served by the assigned area

Job Duties
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame
- conduct daily base checks including narcotic counts
- provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough documentation
- participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical skill maintenance
- maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures
- utilize and maintain all emergency program equipment and supplies
- foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
- function as a medical flight team member
- attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings completing necessary documentation
- assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance including radio, navigational, and visual observation activities
- comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff
- conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed
- fill open or vacant shifts as needed within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director
