Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- certification as a paramedic
- current advanced cardiac life support certification
- current basic cardiac life support certification
- current neonatal resuscitation certification
- current pediatric advanced life support certification
- must obtain flight paramedic certification within 2 years of hire
- completion of advanced trauma or critical care certifications
- ability to maintain required documentation and training
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- valid driver’s license
- eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certified
- Neonatal Resuscitation certified
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified
- certified paramedic
- flight paramedic certification (FP-C) obtained within 2 years of employment start
- advanced trauma care or equivalent certification
- advanced provider course or prehospital trauma life support certification
Job Duties
- Provides pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial patient contact until care is transferred
- maintains thorough patient care documentation
- practices within scope as defined by state regulations and HCA guidelines
- participates in ongoing training and education to maintain skills
- maintains licensure, certifications, and required training documentation
- manages medical equipment and supplies, reports failures, and ensures repair and readiness
- participates in patient and community outreach and educational activities
- attends pre-mission briefings and debriefings and completes related documentation
- assists with aircraft safety and operational procedures
- serves as a medical resource for neonatal and pediatric transports
- performs advanced skills approved by medical director
- acts as a role model, educator, and clinical resource within the department
- participates in departmental projects, committees, and professional activities
- complies with safety standards to ensure safety of personnel, patients, and equipment
- conducts aircraft safety briefings as necessary
- other duties as assigned
