Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years related experience and/or training
- Registered EMT-P licensed in state(s) served
- Specialty certification FP-C or CCP-C required within two years of hire
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS certifications
- Advanced trauma course certification prior to third rider orientation
- NRP certification prior to third rider orientation
- Completion of annual EMTALA and NIMS training including IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat upon hire
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years recent experience in a busy 911 system
- Registered EMT-Paramedic licensed in state(s) served
- Specialty certification FP-C or CCP-C required within two years of hire
- Current certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS
- Advanced trauma course certification such as TNCC, ATLS/ATCN, TNATC, or CAMTS-approved course prior to third rider orientation
- NRP certification prior to third rider orientation
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
- Previous critical care transport and flight experience preferred
- Experience complying with EMTALA and NIMS training
Job Duties
- Provides pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is handed over to accepting facility
- Maintains thorough patient care documentation
- Practices within scope of practice as defined by state regulations and organizational guidelines
- Maintains competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences
- Communicates educational needs to Chief Flight Nurse
- Maintains records of licensure, certifications, continuing education, and training
- Attends continuing education programs
- Performs routine maintenance and reports failures of medical equipment
- Keeps aircraft supplied and orderly for rapid response
- Participates in patient and referring institution follow-up and outreach activities
