Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification
  • Colorado EMT-P certification
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), PHTLS, or ITLS certification
  • Minimum of five years paramedic experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environments
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
  • Other state licenses as required within six months of hire

Job Duties

  • Provide patient care during all phases of transport from initial contact to transfer at receiving facility
  • Document patient assessment, interventions, patient response, condition changes, and procedures timely
  • Participate in pre- and post-transport briefings
  • Ensure equipment functionality and complete vehicle and equipment checklists
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide safety and clinical education to referring facilities and EMS agencies
  • Actively participate in safety, education, quality, and outreach programs
