Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in aviation science, aeronautics, aerospace, or airport management
- 3+ years experience with aircraft avionics databases
- knowledge of ARINC 424 navigation database standards
- knowledge of aeronautical charting
- experience managing relational databases
- legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- successful completion of interview required
- reliable, punctual attendance required

- pilot certificate (preferred)
- TERPS and/or PANS-OPS certification (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with navigational databases (preferred)
- experience with SQL (preferred)
- experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript (preferred)
Job Duties
- Coordinate FMC navigation database management with technical pilots
- submit cyclical requests to multiple manufacturers and verify compliance
- perform cyclical compare functions to verify database integrity
- assist with procedure construction using TARGETS software
- coordinate with flight operations, dispatch, tech ops, and regulatory teams for compliance
- attend company and industry meetings to ensure safe operations
- manage aeronautical charting and ensure synchronization with navigation databases
- manage FMC navigation database coverage, content, and procedures
- complete reviews, quality control checks, and database audits
- respond to FSAP and other reports
- issue operational alerts, pilot bulletins, and NOTAMS
- tailor procedures to maintain database integrity
- provide operational support outside normal working hours as needed
- manage tailored navigation data used by EFBs and flight planning tools
- represent United Airlines at industry symposia and standards working groups
