Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum three years recent critical care emergency nursing experience within last five years
- Current RN license for practicing states
- EMS or MICN certification required by state regulations
- Current certifications in BLS CPR ACLS PALS or equivalent and advanced trauma provider courses
- Specialty certification CFRN or CEN within 24 months of hire
- Ability to maintain weight not exceeding 225 pounds including flight suit and boots
- Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime and on-call
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred
- Minimum of three years recent critical care or emergency nursing experience within five years
- Pre-hospital experience preferred
- Flight experience is a plus
- Skills in nursing practice as defined by state scope and medical direction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Current RN license for practicing states
- EMS or MICN certification as required
- Current certifications in BLS CPR ACLS PALS or equivalent and advanced trauma provider courses
- Specialty certifications (CFRN or CEN) required within 24 months of hire
- Completion of NRP and NIMS training before third-rider orientation
Job Duties
- Provide nursing care within scope of practice from initial patient contact to transfer to receiving facility maintaining thorough documentation
- Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences and communicate educational needs
- Use and maintain medical equipment and supplies ensuring readiness and reporting failures
- Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings assist with pre-mission checklists and pilot support activities
- Conduct safety briefings and comply with safety standards ensuring safety of personnel patients and equipment
- Serve as a flight resource for neonatal and pediatric transports performing advanced approved procedures
- Participate in follow-up with patients and referring institutions engage in outreach and education
- Act as a preceptor and participate in orientation of new employees and students
- Participate regularly in meetings activities projects and committees including research and publishing
- Perform other duties as assigned
