Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- minimum three years recent critical care or emergency nursing experience within last five years
- current RN license
- EMS or MICN certification as required
- current BLS/CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS or equivalent certification
- TPATC/TNCC/ITLS/PHTLS advanced provider certification if required
- specialty certification (CFRN or CEN) within 24 months of hire
- advanced trauma course before third-rider training
- NRP certification before third-rider orientation
- NIMS training IS 100, 200, 700, 800, and HazMat training before third-rider training
- weight not to exceed 225 pounds including flight suit and boots
- ability to work flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required
- minimum three years recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within last five years
- pre-hospital experience preferred
- flight experience a plus
- skills as required to practice nursing under state scope and advanced practice skills as defined by Medical Director and Medical Standards
- maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and public
- demonstrates critical thinking and attention to detail
- flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call
- dependable and self-motivated
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- current RN license for state(s) of practice

Job Duties
- Provides nursing care within scope of practice from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to accepting medical facility
- maintains thorough patient care documentation
- maintains competency by participating in ongoing lab and clinical experiences
- communicates educational needs to Medical Base Supervisor and Medical Education Coordinator
- maintains documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, aviation and safety training, OSHA and HIPAA training, clinical rotations, and advanced procedures
- attends continuing education programs
- knowledgeable in using and maintaining equipment and supplies
- reports medical equipment failures and ensures repair
- maintains adequate onboard supplies
- keeps aircraft clean and orderly
- functions as medical flight member by attending pre-mission briefings and completing documentation
- assists in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot support tasks
- complies with safety standards and conducts aircraft safety briefings
- serves as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric transport and performs approved advanced skills
- participates in patient and referring institution follow-up and outreach activities
- acts as preceptor or participates in orientation of new employees and students
- participates in meetings, projects, research, and publishing opportunities
- performs other duties as assigned
