Job Requirements
- Licensed registered nurse with minimum three years emergency or adult critical care experience
- Current active RN license for states served
- EMT certification where applicable
- Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
- Commitment to safety and professionalism
- Ability to work one 24-hour shift per week
- Willingness to maintain and update all required certifications
- Trauma certification where applicable
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT certification in states where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
- Trauma certification where required
- Prior flight experience preferred
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire
Job Duties
- Assess patient conditions in flight and determine appropriate care
- Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- Conduct regular equipment and base checks to comply with safety standards
- Communicate effectively and professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, and medical facilities
- Accurately complete company and regulatory documentation and records
- Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training
