Job Requirements

  • Licensed registered nurse with three years of experience in emergency or adult critical care
  • current RN license for the area served
  • EMT certification in required states
  • current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • trauma certification if applicable
  • ability to meet punctuality, reliability and professional standards
  • commitment to maintain all required certifications and training
  • advanced certification within 24 months of hire

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in emergency or adult critical care as a licensed RN
  • current RN license in the states served
  • EMT certification where required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
  • trauma certification where required
  • prior flight experience preferred
  • instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire

Job Duties

  • Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
  • utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders
  • provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
  • maintain regular equipment and base checks and comply with safety standards and briefings
  • work collaboratively and communicate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
  • share shift change information to transitioning team and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation
  • maintain required certifications and ongoing training
