Job Requirements
- Licensed registered nurse with three years of experience in emergency or adult critical care
- current RN license for the area served
- EMT certification in required states
- current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- trauma certification if applicable
- ability to meet punctuality, reliability and professional standards
- commitment to maintain all required certifications and training
- advanced certification within 24 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in emergency or adult critical care as a licensed RN
- current RN license in the states served
- EMT certification where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
- trauma certification where required
- prior flight experience preferred
- instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire
Job Duties
- Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
- utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders
- provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- maintain regular equipment and base checks and comply with safety standards and briefings
- work collaboratively and communicate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
- share shift change information to transitioning team and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation
- maintain required certifications and ongoing training
