Job Requirements

  • Licensed registered nurse with current RN license
  • Minimum of three years experience in emergency or adult critical care nursing
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • EMT certification where state law requires
  • Trauma certification if applicable
  • Ability to work one 24-hour shift per week
  • Willingness to comply with all safety and operational standards
  • Commitment to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
  • Availability to work in assigned geographic areas

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
  • Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
  • EMT certification in state(s) where required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification prior to flight status
  • Trauma certification where required
  • Prior flight experience preferred
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire

Job Duties

  • Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients supporting physicians' orders
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
  • Perform regular equipment and base checks
  • Comply with safety standards and briefings
  • Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
  • Share shift change information and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training
  • Commit to punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and safety standards
