Job Requirements
- Licensed registered nurse with current RN license
- Minimum of three years experience in emergency or adult critical care nursing
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- EMT certification where state law requires
- Trauma certification if applicable
- Ability to work one 24-hour shift per week
- Willingness to comply with all safety and operational standards
- Commitment to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
- Availability to work in assigned geographic areas
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT certification in state(s) where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification prior to flight status
- Trauma certification where required
- Prior flight experience preferred
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire
Job Duties
- Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients supporting physicians' orders
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- Perform regular equipment and base checks
- Comply with safety standards and briefings
- Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
- Share shift change information and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
- Maintain required certifications and ongoing training
- Commit to punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and safety standards
