Job Requirements
- Be a licensed registered nurse with three years of emergency or adult critical care experience
- Hold a current RN license valid in the areas served
- Possess EMT certification if required by state
- Obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
- Complete trauma certification where required
- Be committed to punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and high safety standards
- Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training
- Adhere to company and regulatory documentation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT certification where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
- Trauma certification where required
- Prior flight experience preferred
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire
Job Duties
- Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders
- Provide and maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- Conduct regular equipment and base checks
- Comply with safety standards and briefings
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
- Share shift change information with transitioning team and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
- Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position
- Be on-time, reliable, professional, and meet elevated standards in safety and service
