Job Requirements
- Licensed registered nurse with three years of experience in emergency or adult critical care
- current valid RN license in the assigned state(s)
- EMT certification in state(s) where required
- required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP before flight status
- trauma certification if required by location
- ability to complete advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) within 24 months
- availability to work part-time
- ability to comply with safety standards and documentation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN
- current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT certification in state(s) where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
- trauma certification where required
- prior flight experience preferred
- instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire
Job Duties
- Assess situations to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
- utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders
- maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- perform regular equipment and base checks and comply with safety standards and briefings
- communicate professionally and work collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
- share shift change information with transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
- maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position
- be committed to punctuality, reliability, professionalism and meeting elevated safety and service standards
