Job Requirements
- Licensed registered nurse with at least three years in emergency or adult critical care
- Current RN license valid in assigned area states
- EMT certification if applicable
- Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications prior to flight status
- Ability to obtain trauma certification where required
- Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
- Ability to work one 24-hour shift per week
- Willingness to comply with company safety and operational protocols
- Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing training
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served
- EMT certification where required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status
- Trauma certification where required
- Prior flight experience preferred
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months of hire
Job Duties
- Assess patient condition to determine appropriate care and treatment
- Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians' orders
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- Perform regular equipment and base checks
- Communicate effectively and collaborate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, and medical facilities
- Provide detailed shift-change information and maintain accurate documentation and records
- Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training
