Job Requirements

  • Licensed registered nurse with three years of emergency or adult critical care experience
  • Valid RN license for states served
  • EMT certification where applicable
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Completion of trauma certification if required
  • Commitment to punctuality and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain certifications and undertake ongoing training
  • Ability to work two 24-hour shifts per week
  • Willingness to abide by safety and operational protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in an emergency or adult critical care setting as a licensed RN
  • Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
  • EMT certification in state(s) where required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
  • Trauma certification where required
  • Prior flight experience preferred
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire

Job Duties

  • Assess medical situations to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
  • Conduct regular equipment and base checks
  • Comply with safety standards and briefings
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners
  • Share shift change information with transitioning team
  • Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training
