Job Requirements

  • Two plus years of experience in a safety-critical role
  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Knowledge of weather patterns for flight operations
  • Understanding of flight safety, workplace health and safety (WHS), and flight operations regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Capability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 percent of the time
  • Experience interpreting flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
  • Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations or similar technical platforms
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation policy
  • Experience with flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms
  • Understanding of weather patterns affecting flight operations
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs
  • Experience in aviation, drone operations, or related monitoring roles

Job Duties

  • Operate drones safely and compliantly under FAA Part 107 regulations
  • Monitor real-time flight data and interpret flight monitoring systems
  • Assess weather conditions and adjust flight operations accordingly
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain detailed technical and engineering records
  • Deliver and develop training programs on flight safety and compliance
  • Make quick decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
