Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship
  • Knowledge and unreserved commitment to MBI's mission and doctrinal statement
  • FAA approved Flight Instructor (CFI) Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL)
  • Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument Airplane (CFII) prior to teaching Instrument and Commercial curriculums
  • Certified Flight Instructor Multi-Engine Land (MEI) prior to instructing multi-engine curriculum
  • Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate

Job Qualifications

  • FAA certified Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Land (CFI ASEL)
  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane (CFII) before instructing in Instrument and Commercial curriculums
  • Certified Flight Instructor Multi-Engine Land (MEI) before instructing multi-engine curriculum
  • Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
  • Knowledge and commitment to Moody Bible Institute's mission and doctrinal statement
  • Ability to model professionalism and safety
  • Effective mentorship skills

Job Duties

  • Model a high level of aviation professionalism, integrity and servanthood
  • Model and abide by the 14 Code of Federal Regulations and Moody Operations Manual
  • Follow and reinforce standardized practices and procedures established by Moody Aviation 141 flight school
  • Serve as a team player
  • Provide professional ground and flight instruction
  • Assure assigned students are adequately prepared as professional airmen and representatives of Christ
  • Conduct pre and post flight briefing and critique sessions
  • Accomplish monthly assigned pilot proficiency flights
  • Maintain high standards in flight school documents including student training records and flight operation records
  • Ensure order, cleanliness and security of work area and equipment
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Provide feedback to develop and update flight and ground school curriculum
  • Prepare and revise course materials
  • Serve as Dispatch Supervisor and assist with flight scheduling
  • Perform other special duties as assigned
