Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education job related experience
- FAA certified flight instructor license
- must have and maintain FAA Class II medical
- valid driver's license
- ability to work with flight students one-on-one and in a classroom setting
- able to administer flight instructions
- able to lift up to 45 lbs
- successful completion of background check
- successful driver's license check

Job Duties
- Administers FAA syllabus flight and ground instruction to university students
- performs check rides in accordance with FAA prescribed guidelines
- instructs ground school if required
- administers FAA required ground tests
- schedules training, stage checks and check rides
- performs FAST flights for faculty and staff transportation
- assists in promoting the Department of Aviation
- develops new courses and syllabi
- helps with preventive maintenance of university fleet aircraft
- performs dispatching duties for daily flight operations
