Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Colorado State EMT certification
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
  • IV certification within two months of hire
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator course completion within six months of hire
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license with no moving violations for past two years
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within twelve months of hire for BLS transports
  • Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally
  • Ability to work variable shifts

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience as a licensed EMT
  • One year of experience driving ambulance or other emergency vehicle
  • Two years as a licensed driver
  • Familiarity with the local region
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current Colorado State EMT certification required
  • Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required
  • IV certification within two months of hire required
  • Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operator course within six months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within twelve months of hire for BLS transports

Job Duties

  • Operate flight for life ground ambulances in a safe, professional and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and daily readiness of vehicles
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of ambulance vehicles
  • Provide patient care within ALS/BLS protocols
  • Support clinical teams, emergency departments, and business office within EMT scope of care
  • Assist with emergency medical procedures and transports
  • Document patient care and ambulance operations accurately
