Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Colorado State EMT certification
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- IV certification within two months of hire
- Emergency Vehicle Operator course completion within six months of hire
- Valid Colorado driver’s license with no moving violations for past two years
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within twelve months of hire for BLS transports
- Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally
- Ability to work variable shifts
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience as a licensed EMT
- One year of experience driving ambulance or other emergency vehicle
- Two years as a licensed driver
- Familiarity with the local region
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Colorado State EMT certification required
- Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required
- IV certification within two months of hire required
- Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operator course within six months of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within twelve months of hire for BLS transports
Job Duties
- Operate flight for life ground ambulances in a safe, professional and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and daily readiness of vehicles
- Maintain overall cleanliness of ambulance vehicles
- Provide patient care within ALS/BLS protocols
- Support clinical teams, emergency departments, and business office within EMT scope of care
- Assist with emergency medical procedures and transports
- Document patient care and ambulance operations accurately
