Job Qualifications
- One year of experience as a licensed EMT
- One year of experience driving ambulance or other emergency vehicle
- Two years as a licensed driver
- Familiarity with local region
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current Colorado State EMT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- IV certification
- Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVOC or CVEO)
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Ability to work variable shifts
Job Duties
- Operate the Flight For Life ground ambulances in a safe, professional, and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and daily readiness of vehicles
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the ambulances
- Provide patient care within the ALS/BLS program and the BLS scope of care
- Offer clinical assistance to other team members, Emergency Departments, and the Business Office within the EMT role scope
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients
