Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Colorado state paramedic certification
- National Registry as a paramedic
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- TPATC or ATLS certification within 12 months of hire
- NRP certification within 12 months of hire
- FP-C certification within 2 years of hire
- Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Colorado state paramedic certification
- National Registry as a paramedic
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- TPATC or ATLS certification within 12 months of hire
- NRP certification within 12 months of hire
- FP-C certification within 2 years of hire
- Minimum of 3 years or 4000 hours of experience as a paramedic in 911 ALS or critical care transport
- Experience in critical care transport or in-hospital critical care
Job Duties
- Assist in meeting the physical and emotional needs of critically ill and injured patients
- Promote safe and efficient operation of Flight for Life
- Provide advanced life support and critical care during patient transport
- Collaborate with medical and flight teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain currency in required certifications and participate in training
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with professionalism
- Support search and rescue operations as needed
