Job Requirements

  • Military grades E4 through E9
  • Experience assisting pilots in operating aircraft systems such as hydraulic, fuel, electrical, or pressurization
  • Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations and aircraft performance data
  • Experience with aircraft records maintenance and aircraft systems
  • Ability to instruct and evaluate aircrew members on ground and operational training flights
  • Capability to perform loadmaster responsibilities
  • Must not substitute education for specialized experience

Job Qualifications

  • Military grades E4 through E9
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems including propulsion, airframe, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental systems
  • Experience with aircraft weight and balance computations and aircraft performance data
  • Skills in instructing and evaluating aircrew members
  • Ability to perform aircraft loadmaster duties
  • Operational knowledge of flight planning and aircraft system monitoring
  • Experience supporting combat service support airlift and troop transport missions

Job Duties

  • Assist the pilot in operating various aircraft systems including hydraulic, fuel, electrical, or pressurization systems to assure safe operation of aircraft
  • Provide instruction, evaluation, and examination on ground and operational training flights to develop and upgrade skills of aircrew members
  • Perform aircraft loadmaster responsibilities including managing the load safely and effectively
  • Assist in flight planning, monitoring, and operating engines and aircraft control systems
  • Maintain knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations, aircraft performance data, records maintenance, and aircraft systems
  • Support diverse aircraft missions including combat service support airlift, troop transport, troop air assaults, extraction, resupply, and aeromedical evacuations
