Job Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in aviation related field
- Flight Dispatcher FAA certificate or ATP
- One year or more experience in large aircraft dispatch
- Completion of 40 hours classroom training and successful ground school completion
- Proficiency in MS Office and flight planning software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work various shifts including holidays and weekends
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under stress
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of FAA regulations 14 CFR Part 121 and 117
- Ability to manage real-time operations and multi-task
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in aviation related field
- Pilot certificate with instrument rating or air traffic control background
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate or ATP
- Previous experience with large aircraft dispatch and computerized flight planning software
- Proficient in computer use, including MS Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette
- Passionate attention to detail
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, weekends and overtime
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Diplomatic with openness to feedback

Job Duties
- Exercise operational control authority in conjunction with the pilot in command for safe and efficient flight operations in accordance with FAA and company policies
- Have a complete understanding of company procedures, limitations, and directives applicable to 14 CFR Part 121 and company operation specifications
- Review, analyze and monitor current and forecast weather conditions including NOTAMs, PIREPs, TFRs and runway conditions
- Produce computerized flight plans using MS Excel and Navblue Flight Planning for company aircraft
- Communicate effectively using telephone, cell phone, email, company radio, ARINC, and other communication methods
- Monitor the progress of each flight and promptly report any overdue aircraft
- Update SkedFlex operations management software with flight and crew movements and schedule changes
- Provide the pilot in command with all relevant information for safe flight conduct
- Determine maintenance status and capability of company aircraft, including weight and balance procedures, runway analysis, and aircraft performance
- Respond to service interruptions with recommendations and notifications
- Manage and coordinate daily schedules, controlling personnel and real-time operational decisions
- Monitor flight crewmember scheduling in accordance with 14 CFR Part 117 and 121 flight and duty time regulations
- Handle crewmember selection, scheduling and notification
- Assist with flight crewmember travel and hotel arrangements outside normal business hours and in absence of travel department
- Ensure accurate reporting of crewmember flight times to payroll
- Initiate emergency response procedures as required by emergency response plan
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
