Job Requirements
- Candidate must reside in Birmingham, AL
- Hold an FAA Dispatch license in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skilled in reading and writing English
- Capacity to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone
- Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately
- Able to efficiently utilize all assigned equipment
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to understand basic computer applications

Job Duties
- Ensures daily coverage is scheduled for the Flight Dispatch department
- Ensures all FAA and company regulations and policies are followed
- Maintains US Customs and company crewmember databases and ensures they are current
- Liaisons with US and international customs authorities
- Process and ensure compliance with all TSA employee and passenger vetting requirements
- Ensure other company departments are aware of anything that could affect any current or planned flight operations
- Maintains CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) data and prepares and presents quarterly CQI briefings to senior management
- Ensures all required aircraft documentation is current and on board each aircraft
- Processes and enters aircraft charges/invoices in the company accounting system
- Reviews, approves and pays any aircraft associated invoices
- Responsible for training Flight Dispatchers and reviewing their performance on an annual basis
- Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
- Safe, legal and timely planning of all flight legs
- Considers all legal requirements in creating flight plans and itineraries
- Verifies fuel payment options to maximize profitability
- Monitors weather conditions en route and at planned stops
- Reserves and briefs flight crew on logistical requirements
- Secures all over flight and operating permissions
- Supplies customs documents to crew and coordinates customs activities
- Checks trip manifests against TSA eSecure system information
- Builds trip flight packets for captains
- Checks performance information for arrivals and departures
- Maintains and renews operating permits
- Researches international locations as needed
