Job Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts including day, night, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on call
  • Must have current passport and be able to travel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Commitment to adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform patient transfers
  • Willingness to maintain active flight status and complete ongoing training and certifications

Job Qualifications

  • Certified FP-C, CCEMT-P, or equivalent approved critical care certification
  • Three to four years related EMS or first responder experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS certifications
  • Pennsylvania State paramedic license
  • Certification in DOT approved flight physiology course
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and handle emergencies effectively

Job Duties

  • Evaluate, coordinate, and deliver medical care during patient transport
  • Obtain and review medical reports prior to flight
  • Complete pre-flight checklists and ensure functionality of medical equipment
  • Calculate and secure necessary oxygen supplies
  • Perform head to toe patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously
  • Ensure compliance with patient care standards and transportation regulations
  • Facilitate patient and document security and proper handoff to receiving facilities
